NEW Axxess Uncapped ! - Imminent

No one knows what time this will be happening. I hope it's soon, just incase i need to stop my Afrihost uncapped
 
this is crap. they should just announce! now i have to wait for them. Been using axxess for semi-shaped and local only since i got my dsl!..
 
come on axxess im waiting coz i need to decide if i will stay or change isp.
 
Does everyone believe they are gonna announce something because some chap said so?

Thats what I was thinking, but a couple of people have said they heard the same thing from the call center.
 
well just phoned them, they only said their currently discussing new prices have not a sure date yet, but something is on its way.
i must check the press over the next weeks
 
i remember the days with 20 gb and 30 gb accounts.Axxess used to match the lowest prices on the day that everyone else dropped their prices.But i guess they are not interested in beeing on the ball anymore......
 
I cancelled my express+ account today. Am now on afrihost. If they do drop their prices i might reconsider.
 
If you can afford it then the express+ product is WAY better for downloading that anything else on the market. That I can promise you.
 
Ya, like I been saying. I'm happy with it, I'm glad there are cheaper options, but I'm sticking with what I got for now.
 
I'll stick with Axxess for now, at least theres none of this "unfair use" cr@p, they state it up front, dont expect much during the day, but night time is every man for himself.:D

I believe that this is precisely what everyone is doing in their AUP. (Or maybe should be doing).

IPC bandwidth, which is the expensive bottleneck could easily be slipt up and prioritised.
- High users get put together
- Medium together
- Low together

Then each type of user can share the space on their respective 'pot'. Low and Medium users will get much better performance and the High usage guys get what they can from the rest... after all... if you start on low at the beginning of each month and the IPC apportions accordingly then everyone (within reason) should be happy.

As far as I'm aware, there's so much nighting IPC free on teh IS system that the unlimited loophole give you max speeds. Last night when we tested the new Uncapped basic, we had the same speeds. Let's see what happens as more are sold...
 
anyone play games online with any of the new uncapped services? this should tell us how much shaping is happening...

So far Nexus and OpenWeb also sell it. One at a slightly different price - not sure on anyone else.
I expect to see Axxess launch it tomorrow though... followed by quite a few others.
