Hi all

Im looking to buy a new 600CC superbike (ok fine supersport). Any ideas on the pricing?

I know the ZX636 is R125k, what about the rest?

thx

so far

Honda > no price listed
Yamaha > R117k
Triumph > R116k
Suzuki > no price listed
BMW > they have a 600?
Ninja 636 > R125k
Ninja 600 > ??

Or... You could take a look at the MV August F3 at around R129K. That bike brings a tear to my eyes.

No 600 supersport from BMW and I've seen the CBR Honda at around R110K... Can't speak for the Suzuki, never liked them.

Mv Augusta, they make such awesome looking bikes.

At R129k the Agusta is almost the price of a 1000cc

The Italians have never made bikes for buyers on a budget. What they do well though are make bikes that are gorgeous AND quick. Exhibit A, MV Agusta, exhibit B, Ducati and exhibit C, Aprillia.

Please rather look for a second hand one with say less than 5000km...you will pay around R80k and it will still be as tight as new! And then you can spend money on good quality gear!
Even a 07-08 600 for around R60k with low miles is a good buy!
CBR definately the most rideable and reliable!

Couldn't agree with this more. Another great option is the triumph daytona. That three cylinder engine is something else.
