New Brave browser

I have been getting a advert on my Facebook page the last few days regarding a new browser called brave that apparently is super fast and blocks adds and trackers. are there any truth in this or is this just a advertising gimme?

It's based in chromium so might as well use the real mccoy and just get an ad blocker like Nano adblock or Windscribe VPN with ad blocker included.
