Is there a new vehicle licensing procedure in Cape Town?

Does one require proof of residence etc.?

Yes, you need: Green ALV form, utility bill and ID book. Make copies of ID and utility bill before hand, but you must still produce the originals. Your old licence form or registration papers to fill in the ALV form.

I went to the traffic office at the airport last week for renewal. Completed the green form and had a utility bill and ID with. The lady helping me mentioned my address is different on system, my parents address, yet she issued new licence disc.
