new car advice

Hi all, I'm new to this forum so greetings to everyone.

I'm in the market for a new car, my budget is 450k. I'm currently driving a bmw 320D E90. I got my eye on the merc c class coupe or I can wait for the next 3 series coming out early next year.

Any advice will be most welcome.

Anybody driving the new 5 series, thoughts?

How old are you? What are you looking for in the new car? Why do you want to change from the 320d?

EDIT: And, where are you located? At altitude or at the coast?

Thanx for the quick reply bud, I'm 30...the 320D is about to run out of motorplan and I guess I just prefer hassle free driving.

I'm from piertermaritzburg.
 
If it was my money and I could choose anything, I would take the Scirocco .:R - what a machine!!
 
To be honest, I'm just sick and tired of running into look- alike at every intersection.

The sciricco is a gud car but I'm just not a hatchback fan.
 
Sbu, I think the problem you may have is getting decent trade on you BMW. The only people who would offer decent trade is BMW themselves and then you kind of get locked into driving another Beemer. Similar thing happened to me when I was looking to trade mine in, was getting daft offers from VW and others. Eventually went and bought another BMW (Had it wrapped in matte black because I got tired of being the same as well :))
 
335 coupe (how much is it)
I'd stay away from the C class coupe.
Rather wait for the new 3 series... Haven't seen pics yet. Hope its better than 1 series.
 
I'm off-loading the 320D to my younger brother, he calls it a chick magnet plus I'm getting a better deal selling to him than at BMW (sharks they aren I tell you) so am not complaining.

I saw the c class coupe and it looked sweet only downside to it is that I heard mercedes offers a 60000k motorplanm by the way is this true?

Is there any other draw-backs to owning a merc that I should be aware of?

personally i don't like merc unless it is something like a c63 amg :D

i have driven the new mercs and they are tooooo nice

from what i know about the mobilo plan is that it is a 6year 120k maintenance plan but the drawback is that you do pay a little fee when you do maintenance and as time goes the % changes

if anyone know better than maybe they can say

Thx 4 that info on the merc samr1wp...anyone else with + or - views on the new mercs?
