I have a 1989 Merc 230E and my dad has a 1995 MERC Elegance C280.
Neither of us is clued up about cars but know enough now to realize these petrol guzzlers are just too expensive for us now.
We were speculating that with a more economical car, that's also cheaper to maintain and fix when issues arrive, we could probably pay off the the new car with almost the money that we'd be saving from the petrol bill. Not sure if that would be the case but maybe someone out there would.
I'm a bit clueless in this regard and was just hoping for some advice. My car isn't worth much now so it would have to make sense from a monthly payment POV.
Need something automatic, space in the back for 2 huskies, and just nicely fuel efficient and cheap to replace parts. Obviously a good drive would be nice, not too bothered about bells and whistles.
