No ways!!! I'm in Aus on holiday and got new settings today too (on my local Optus SIM) - OPTUS 8.1
Just a fluke that Vodacom and Optus updated on the same day or are the settings sent out to all networks at the same time directly from Apple??

I haven't seen anything, maybe cause I am still on 3.1.2 (ja ja just haven't felt the need to upgrade to 4.x on my 3G) - where did you see this on the device or in iTunes? Just so I know for future.

If I'm not mistaken - 3.x does carrier updates via iTunes whereas 4.x can do carrier updates OTA

On MTN 3G, mine sent me a request to update at around 5.00pm this afternoon

i have a jailbroken 3gs.
if I update the carrier settings (I am on MTN) will it reverse the jailbreak?

right now i cant mms so i would really like this update
