New Cell C package

Guys have a look seems like a good deal @ R1-50 p/m anytime.

http://www.cellc.co.za/packages/all-week-100

yeah their allweek 100 package is fantastic- free cli, free itemised billing, plus 100 anytime minutes on top of that- while vodacom and MTN juggle their prices to make up for the loss of income from the drop in interconnect rates- Cell C has actually passed that saving on...

Cell C are certainly getting creative. Heard they're looking to get Blackberry into the "fold" of phones. Be interesting to see what they bring to the table.

Vodacom I hear are dropping advertising and sponsorship. Not sure how extensive but rugby will be the big loser, I guess. And all this comes on the back of the forced cut in interconnect fees.

Yes I am sure vodacom wont touch the soccer as usual even though there is way more money in rugby.

I think thats just rumors, or marketing- people dont just sponsor because its the kindly thing to do, do you know how much business they generate from it- that is why companies are willing to pay so much to have sports/movie stars promote their product- its the power of association. No I believe Vodacom and MTN will add the charges on elsewhere, such as that new "wonderful" uncapped offering from MTN, 100 bucks extra a month for no real added value.... or MTN's newly structured contracts that give you x rands airtime, rather than free minutes, where you end up with less value, at higher contract prices.

Sorry to bump this - but anybody actually using this CellC contract yet? Thinking of getting a dumb-phone and just using it for the extra minutes: cheaper than my landline, my current Vodacom contract, my Weekender contract I use for "extra minutes" etc.

Just a shame I have to bind myself to another 24 months...
