When you are black and female in SA today, the sky is the limit. I have noticed this tendency on many CVs.

Being white and male is what everyone should aspire to in SA, I am already male so I have one foot in already, I feel pity for all the black females out there.

White males will be less white while drinking less Coke so you have every opportunity now. Better with Coke™
 
I remember Mr Barnes also promising miracles and now he is also history. Another day, another CEO. Like all the other SOEs they have slowly but surely destroyed the place. Nothing new, moving on...

In private IT sector, I worked with some dedicated BA's and testers so far. It is not level playing field yet and I have been here for quite a while. It must be quite disheartening really.

Hoping for some change of scene once all the personal secretaries (to bosses of yonder years) turned project managers/Managers retire someday. Let us see.

Flouting that male privilege, eh? Seems you only cry when someone has privilege over you, never the other way around..
 
The SA Post Office cannot be saved. It was given a short while more to exist only because of the grants. Its basic functions will not be fulfilled. As with any other SOE here in South Africa, the Post Office is doomed to fail and so too any CEO appointed there. Only the jam eaters will be interested in the position to lick the bottle dry. There is simply too much political interference for the post office to continue its existence.
 
Is this new state bank thing gonna fall under sapo too? It had postbank in the name

Because woman want's babies, Babies become kids with loads of extra school things.
Woman stay home when kids are sick
Woman don't want to work over time because kids..
Woman want to go to school things and sport.

It's a world wide thing. And The rise of single moms makes it more difficult for them.

Worked in IT for 6 years, most woman don't rise because they can not ( Not because they can't ) do the work men do and can not put in the hours men do. None of the woman ever wanted to be on the on call list for after hours, weekends and holidays, But then complained about not also receiving extra money.
Yes it's still because of society and the role parents play.
And its time woman admit to not being equal because they choose different things.
If you don't put in the equal amount of time and effort a guy does you can not demand to be paid and rise equally.


( Not ALL woman but you know it is how the world work)
( Also not saying this one can not do the job I do not know anything about her)

IMO. just privatize it.
