So I decided I'm going to roll my very first alt :) Decided on a warrior so that I can use it to tank :D

Now, I've been playing with my mage for little longer than a year now and it is a huge difference to go from caster to melee...especially when the mob runs away in fear and I don't have any ranged weapons :p

I can say I'm already bored with grinding :p

Hamstring FTW ! :D

Melee rocks, I can't get the caster thing.... I tried and tried....

Just not my thing :(

You might wanna consider a druid instead of warrior if your main priority is tanking, druids make just as good a tank as a warrior, if not better, Your lvling time with the druid will be 40% quicker than warrior as you have practicly zero downtime as feral, not to mention the run speed in travel form, you can do dps, heal and tank at lvl 70, as you all know druids are the most OP class in arena.

a few things to consider :)

forgot to mention, druids make the best farm bots, especialy herbalism, you never leave flight form.

I'm a rogue now (shurrup I know you hate us :p) and I was considering what my next char should be as well...

I was toying with the idea of a druid or pally. I love the druid travel tiger form or the bear tanking form... Plus they can act as healers!

Now All i need to decide on is the race... Night Elves are pretty cool looking druids, but I already have a night elf playing rogue. I'm getting Burning Crusade today so at least my new night elf can look a bit different. The normal night elves look really swak.

Vampir0 ... have you considered paladin yet? They're awesome tankers and have alot of magic too... so it could be a smooth change for you :) ... plus Paladins just look awesome!

Rogues are the best, they hate us cos we're to OP and they can't kill us.
Don't let them put you of, they are green in envy ;)

"druids make just as good a tank as a warrior"
Depends. If tanking 5mans, heroics etc, sure. Even some raid stuff. If you have huge aspirations to maintank stuff like Black Temple though, stick with the warrior. That and if you spec DPS you can basically outdps a druid. Ferals are fine, but they're not going to be taking warriors jobs any time soon.

As alliance, you only can roll Nelf if you want a druid

*lol*

I recently learnt the wonders of 'vanish'. It's gotten me out of BIG messes...especially when looting caves and 12 okes find you stealing their chests :p

I must say I was surprised - as mentioned earlier in another thread, I noticed a lvl 35 hordy or something in Ashonvale while running 2 lvl 20s through with my lvl 25.

I saw the hordy taking on NPC's and his health was on +-65% so I decided to go for it! Stealthed in - backstabbed the crap out of him and instead of giving me a snotklap he kept fighting the remaining npc. It was my 1st horde kill and i didnt lose 1% of health. *and ran away quickly*

Anyway - soon after his buddies rocked up and I took on a warrior the same lvl as me, he bliksemd me a bit and I vanished and tracked him ... 2 backstabs took him out before he knew what was coming.

You will still learn the pwoer of Ambush ;)
At lvl 40 you have a Talent called Shadowstep. Shadow step + Ambush gives massive crits ;) Even Ambush on it's own can 1 hit clothies same lvl as you :D

oooer! I'm keen :D

I have about 6 unspent talent points that I still need to use - I'm just doing my homework before spending them on the wrong thing. Yes I know, I'm a commitmentphobe.

I really dig the rogue class - I just have a problem taking on 3 or more chars even as low as 8lvls below me... Im trying to stick to the combat tree for now - and i'll consider assasination later.

Any tips?

Hmm, yes, I'm looking for a main tank really...Think Warriors make the best tanks.

I have considered level times :p Made piece with that :)

With this being you're first char that is bound to happen. I struggled all the way up to lvl 50 odd on my warrior then rolled the rogue. With WoW lvl 1 - 70 is the tutorial. You will only be able to play a low lvl Rogue to the best of it's abilities once you have reached lvl 70 on another :D

You will see, just go with it and have fun lvl'ng the best part of wow is lvl'ng your very first char. Everything is new and so much fun ;)

yeh i've realised that!

I seriously need to get my XP up... I'm too much of an AH-ninja :(

Then again - i've saved up enough for my lvl40 mount etc. So I can do it properlike now...

I think I should get quest helper or something.

You can but it will spoil the fun on the first char. Rather go area by area and do the quests. Quest helper is very good if you are lvl'ng an Alt, but my advice is to not use it for you're first char ;)

The whole reason I got WoW was to take part in a 24hr challenge my BF2 clan was having... since i always grinded them about the game out of fun and thought i'd give it a shot for ****s and giggles.

I was escourted from Darnassus to Ironforge and from there were were 2 5 man parties doing quests all over the show... during that 24hr period i went from lvl15 to lvl 24/5 so by the time I got back to darnassus/auberdine I was too high level to be doing those quests and I've been pretty much all over the place in terms of exploring.

As for running around for fun - I do that waaay too much when I go mining

I'm quite familiar with all the questing areas and just need to actually do all the !'s that are around (and not grey lvl quests)
