Ok I know its no longer a great looking bakkie but it is kinda growing on me. I used to have an 07 1.8 sport and am considering the new one, or maybe just the club model to save 20k.

Thing that's bothering me is will it have a strong resale value like the old shape, do you guys think it would be a good idea to buy a brand new one, or shop around for a 2nd hand low mileage old shape?

The bakkie is growing very fast on me too, have you gone to one of the dealerships to test one?
The interior is rather cool and the radio, has all the modern features with USB and Bluetooth connection (Edit) to a phone
I drove the base model 1.4 a while back and it drives really well.
Personally I always stick to new vehicles - dont know how the previous drivers treated them.... The new Diesel version is also not bad and REALLY frugal on fuel.

It is really up to you, but looking at the current sales figures, it seems to be a hit, same as the previous version.

The new diesel range is dam expensive. The 1.3i is going for something ridiculous like over 170k. I have the 2010 chev model and I must admit I love it. Don't think I would want to sell it any time soon. Picked it up brand new for a steal (just a few days after it was launched).

Test drove it, don't like it anymore lol, I really hope ford brings out something awesome to replace the bantam with.

Anyone want to buy my 2010 chev 1.4i utility? Not the latest facelift. Looks similar to old 1. Got 20 000 on the clock.

Now did you really think for 1 second I would even consider selling it? .....not a chance in hell.....its like those last few items that big brand names make that everyone wants but not that everybody can have lol.

Hahaha and they offer the worst trade in values ever

Utilities? I think not. They are the top rated half tonner bakkies in South Africa. There really is not much competition now that Bantam is dead. You can get a Dacia NP-something, the Strada which is not too bad or the Proton Arena. None of those are near the Utility.

My bad, I meant on my car, guess they don't have much profit to play with.
