I must say I like the look of these. The interior and exterior design is fantastic, quality looks way better and it's got that nice PSA chain-cam 1.6 like in the Mini.

Seems a lot more interesting than its more run-of-the-mill competitors. Possible contender for a replacement car for my g/f in a year or two when low mileage used ones are selling for cheap cheap.

read about this car in car, and in motor beeld and it seems like a real decent car....not that is really any bad cars these days anyways apart fom some dodgy chinese import imo

STAY AWAY!!

My 6 year old Citroen Picasso has now been standing since December for lack of a part. My R100k car may as well be a fikkin wheelbarrow for all the use it is.
I have been on Citroen, Peugeot SA, in fact I have even emailed Citroen in France, the part is simply not available.
I bought a second hand part, only to find that the part has to be programed to my VIN number in France. And once it has been programed, it cannot be reprogrammed.

I can only hope that the insurance writes the car off now, for a R3500 part. That's what I'm pushing for...
FYI These are the prices I was quoted in repairing my car currently (From Citroen, under control of Peugeot, parts only NO labour.)

Main Wiring Harness : R19000
Secondary Harness : R 7800
BSI : R3500 (this is the part in question at the moment. )

Ask yourself, if Citroen cannot make parts available for six year old cars, do you really want one?

I hear you madman, but see my point above re. new ownership of Citroen SA. Hopefully things are set to improve.

I know where you're coming from. I have had my share of run-ins with Imperial about my Citroen over the last five years. In fact 3 years ago the car stood at Imperial Citroen for more than 3 months because they did not have someone qualified to fix it...(to their credit they did loan us a car the entire time we waited) and warranty issues that we kept bringing up over and over again where never found, until the car was out of warranty, THEN they found the problems, and they "lost" their records where we complained over and over again, and our records where not good enough.

No one was happier than me when ownership changed at the end of last year. BUT: Everything I stated in my previous post have been with the new ownership, PSA and with Citroen France.
Imperial did a crap job of running Citroen, but the fact that Citroen France does not have parts and has no idea when they will have... That's beyond Imperial's influence.

Eish, that's a pity then. It's pretty messed up when a company is making some good new cars, but they won't get sales because the local business is being badly run.
