Hey

My computer is starting to heat up with all the HDD and GPU that is in my computer..

And I have already filled all the spaces with FANS, and still no good.. Can feel the heat coming from the case from the outside.. Like it "warms" up everything around the case as well..

SO I think it's time I need a new case..

but now.. Don't know which one to get..

I would like a case that has LOADS of space for the HDD, because I dont' want them to be ontop of each other..

And then.. maybe a few fans here and there..

But anyway.. my limit will probably be around R700..

Any recommendations?

Thanks

It is a bit out of your price range that you posted but the Coolermaster HAF 932 and it's bigger and smaller brothers are not bad at all.

I have the HAF 932 with all it's gloriously large stack fans in it and have no problem with overheating and so on. The down side like i said is the price R 1 592 at Sybaritic

This one is awesome, but you know.. I can't spend so much on a case..

It's just a "minor" upgrade..

But if I had the money.. the case would have been awesome..

Esp with the big fan next to it

Anyway thanks

Just want to know, why do you all suggest coolermaster? Cause they have the best cases?

Er, the CM 690 II is standard mid-range ATX case size. I would highly recommend the cases in this range for your budget. The HAF X etc series is also great but that is upwards of 1.5k. Btw, make sure your fan configuration is correct. Always pull from the bottom and have your exhausts at the top. Also think of coolers. If you already have a full atx case with so much heat, a slightly bigger one is not going to help much. It sounds like you need more of a cooling solution.

I'm really not that impressed with the cooling of the CM 690 II, seeing that my 2x GTX 460's + i7 940 run pretty hot (well above 60'C), and I've installed additional fans too.
The other issue that you'll have with the 690 II is that the removable (tool less) trays are from plastic, so the hard drives can't transfer some of their heat to the case either.

There aren't really any decent, but cheap cases around, otherwise we would've suggested other brands than Coolermaster :( ... which is why I've basically just suggested Coolermaster Elite 430, 690 II cases before.

If you want a really big case, then look at something like the Aerocool PredatorX, which retails for about R1100, but it is quite ugly IMO.

NomNom: that HAF 912 case is pretty much the same as the CM 690 II, except that it looks different from the outside.

It actually has 3 of those big fans in it. One on the side and the front sucking air in and one at the top acting as an exhaust fan. there is also a 12cm one at the back pulling out cold air.

the raven rv-02 is a wicked looking case and deals with heat well. think it is a bit more then 700 though closer to 900 but worth it

Agree. The 690II doesn't have good airflow with the stock fans. Once I added a few though it seems pretty cool.

Once you add a few well placed fans, the cooling is much better

I got a Coolermaster Sniper. Not sure of the price, but a fantastic case. So far it has kept everything nicely chilled :)

I just purchased the Coolermaster HAF 922... very nice! A bit pricy though (R1200 about). But the top fan and HDD fan is huge!!!
