New computer case?

Er, the CM 690 II is standard mid-range ATX case size. I would highly recommend the cases in this range for your budget. The HAF X etc series is also great but that is upwards of 1.5k. Btw, make sure your fan configuration is correct. Always pull from the bottom and have your exhausts at the top. Also think of coolers. If you already have a full atx case with so much heat, a slightly bigger one is not going to help much. It sounds like you need more of a cooling solution.

Oh.. It's only sometimes that it has these massive heating by the HDD and the CPU.. but then other times it's cool..

It's like if I'm using all my HDD, then it gets pretty warm.. and obviously on warm days.. then its worse.. :(

I'm really not that impressed with the cooling of the CM 690 II, seeing that my 2x GTX 460's + i7 940 run pretty hot (well above 60'C), and I've installed additional fans too.
The other issue that you'll have with the 690 II is that the removable (tool less) trays are from plastic, so the hard drives can't transfer some of their heat to the case either.

There aren't really any decent, but cheap cases around, otherwise we would've suggested other brands than Coolermaster :( ... which is why I've basically just suggested Coolermaster Elite 430, 690 II cases before.

If you want a really big case, then look at something like the Aerocool PredatorX, which retails for about R1100, but it is quite ugly IMO.

I see...

But two 460.. isn't that suppose to be heat up a bit? I mean one GPU is going to be hot anyway..

Well I was looking at this Case..

what do you guys think?

It actually has 3 of those big fans in it. One on the side and the front sucking air in and one at the top acting as an exhaust fan. there is also a 12cm one at the back pulling out cold air.

Oh..

acutally forgot about the hot air rises theory.. :p

I was wondering why PSU is at the bottom for these cases..

the raven rv-02 is a wicked looking case and deals with heat well. think it is a bit more then 700 though closer to 900 but worth it

I really like the Idea abuout the 3 fans at the bottom.. But it's it HUGE?

Like it's LONG LONG..

Don't think I have space lol.. It must somehow fit into my desk.. :(

Otherwise I would actually consider..

Agree. The 690II doesn't have good airflow with the stock fans. Once I added a few though it seems pretty cool.

Another 1+?

So it's nice after adding fans?

If you don't mind me asking, what do you have in your computer?

So I can just compare to what I have..

Thanks

Any one know of any cases with more than 2 usb front ports, looked on some sites but i must be blind.

There are quite a few actually that does have more that 2. Corsair, Lian-li, Zalman, Antec and Coolermaster all has some with 4 ports upwards. About at least 15 that I know of.

My components are in my sig, I added a 140mm fan to my door panel, a 140mm above my cd rom feeding from the front and then the H70 out the back and the stock fans in their original positions

I see..

Ok.. your stats are way higher, so if it works for you.. then it shouldn't be a problem for me..

Right? O.O?

Fans..

They makes alot of noise.. :( lol

They're not that bad :)

I have an i5 760 with a CM 212 + Hyper Cooler. The GPU is a 6870.

Everything is nice and cool :)

How did you fit a 140mm fan in the front?

I retro-fitted a 120mm fan in the front using some double-sided tape :p

But I couldn't fit the 140mm one there...

I also have a 140mm fan in the side panel, and have replaced the further-back top exhaust fan with a 140mm fan

Ono'rach: I've also fitted a 120mm fan in the 5.25" bays with cable ties & double sided tape.

I'm very tempted to check if moving the top 200mm fan to the bottom makes any difference in the temperatures.

Even the GPU?

Most of the time my GPU blows out warm air..
