New Data Sim

So, I went ahead and activated a 1gb data sim on Vodacom today - Took almost two hours with all the paperwork, regretted it before I left the store..

Got the SMS to say that it's active three hours ago, but it won't let me register on the network at all with the provided SIM card.

Been on hold with 111 for two hours now. Might I have missed something in the activation process?

Eventually got through to someone in the data department who could help.

Data SIMs take up to 24 hours to activate, the sms that tells you that it's active is not actually telling you that it's active
