New desktop 15k budget

Hey there my dear forumites!

A friend of mine wants to get a whole new system (mouse, keyboard etc incl.)

Budget:15k
Usage: All round, gaming as well
Requirement: At least two 23" LCD, better from one supplier, i7 prefered
Time: Sometime next month

I recommended him the warrior system on PCint, which is his best bet for now

Any other recommendation you guys? :D
 
I doubt if he is into gaming that 15k will get i7 with 2 monitors, just those 2 monitors drop the budget to 11k, so i am not sure you can get an i7 system plus a decent vga card for 15k.
 
What would be the res. on 23"? I would think that'll also bump up the VGA cards spec. And then in turn the PSU.
 
wow... I cant even build that at MY suppliers cost! 2X 23" screens,i7 and gaming rig

That warrior system seems like a decent build. That and another screen!
 
Phenom II is still slower than Core i7. But for gaming, it's a great option. So is Core 2 Quad.
 
Yup i would suggest getting the phenom am3 though as ddr 2 will soon become more expensive than ddr 3, so if you go that route try and stick to am3. DDR 3 is not that expensive anymore.

Just that is 10k, add a 4890 for 2.7k gives you 12.7k
Psu another 1k gives you 13k so yea its possible if he can add in another 1k or so.
Memory lets say 1.5k now we at 14.5k without case hdd and dvd writer :).

You can get a decent quad core setup for 15k with a decent graphics card and an extra screen.
 
Lol well he wanted the newest on 15k, also told him no ways.

So he's getting the warrior pc then saving up for another LCD screen.

Closest I got was this from landmark:
MSI X58 PRO Intel X58 & ICH10R Express Chipset - R2313.63
i7 920 - R3122.57
HIS ATI HD4890 - R3071.05
Corsair TR3X6G1600C8 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 - R1754.46

Add two screens, corsair psu, cheap case and its way over his budget.

But yeah, thanks for the input guys, basically what I thought too.

This mate of mine is the poor graduate that earns 6k a month, so 15k is what he saved for the last last so he wants the best for his money.

Any other suggestions? Incase he feels like he cant wait no more
 
Why does he not leave out one screen for now and then save for the second one, then he can easily afford it.

Also 1600 memory is a bit silly considering the perf difference between 1333 and 1600 is next to nothing. Although for gb ddr3 that is an amazing price.

+1 !!!!!!!!!!!

Plus: the MSI X58 Pro is round R2.3k, and can be flashed with ver.8 bios of the Pro SLI version to support both crossfire and SLI, it's actually the same board with a different bios. Damn good reviews.

Also: Drop down to 3GB Ram to save cash, easily upgradeable later.

+1 Drop 1 of the screens. Drop down to 1333 Ram.
