Hi

My dish disintegrated from rust etc.
Considering Covid, Is it possible for DSTV techies to instal a new one without entering the home, so basically just mount a new dish, set it up with their meters and go?

Thanks

i don't see why not...

if they had to come in i honestly would just do it anyway...

If your cabling look anything like this it will have to be replaced as well which mean they will have to enter your home

Just let them do their stuff and afterwards spray the surfaces they've touched (remote for instance) with a sanitizer if you want. It's the same as your garbage bin... just clean the hands and bin after you've retrieved it from the sidewalk :)

Installed a new dish as the other one fell to pieces. The same lnb was used (smart for explora)

No home entry was required as all the cables and everything were already in place.
All they did was fit the new dish outside on the existing mount, do the alignment with their meter gizmo and left.
