New FTA channel

Hey, was scrounging around on the FTA bouquet on DSTV and this starts tomorrow: www.astv.co.za - It's not just the usual christian channel but an afrikaans lifestyle channel where they claim they will show sport as well. IMO, it's similar to kyknet.

Theres another fta channel i noticed called OH..they were playing jacobs cross that once when i saw..anyone know about them?

Oh yes, i saw that last week for the first time, they had some candid camera thing last week and then on the weekend it was a classic movie channel for all you old folk out there. Most of the time, it's a christian channel though, well at least when I check it is.

Who/what/how/why/where? FTA Channels? I dont know but I know I am missing something! My life is falling apart!

On your DStv, press the Menu button on the remote.
Select Advanced Options, then select Dish Installation.
When it asks for a code, press in 9949.
Now the Network Configuration panel opens. Go down to Network 2, and while Network 2 is highlighted, use the left/right buttons and scroll to Other. Press OK.
Now scroll down to Frequency, type in 11170.
Symbol rate: 26657
FEC: 2/3
Polarisation: Vertical.
After inserting above settings select Accept Settings and Return To Dish Installation.

Now follow the above steps and select Network 3, and type in the following:
frequency: 11625
symbol rate: 15000
fec: 3/4
polarization: vertical.

Network 4:
freq: 12562
sr: 26657
fec: 1/2
polarization: horizontal

after completing the above, select Scan All Networks. The FTA channels will be in the PAS7/10 Public bouquet.
