New galactic RTS Ancient Space announced for PC

Paradox Interactive has revealed a new space-based RTS, and it's coming to PC and Mac before the end of 2014

I don't mind that much, tbh. Proper single player games are what's lacking, and all the big releases are focused on multiplayer.

Those I appreciated in this RTS genre incl:

Homeworld (1 / 2 / Cataclysm)
Star Trek - Armada (1 & 2)
Sins of a Solar Empire (and the accompanying additions) *

What kept their replay value alive was the multiplayer...

*No single-player campaign

Note: I don't do on-line gaming

Paradox are the masters of Grand Strategy, but I'm not sure if they can pull off real-time. A space version of Europa Universalis would be pretty badass though.
