Hey all, so the spring/switch in my right click has gone soft (not always bringing it back up properly) so it's time to look at something new. Currently have the CM Storm Sentineal Advance II and had the original Advance until earlier this year (scroll wheel died); really enjoyed the shape and accuracy of them, but what's dead is dead and I'm now a bit put off by how quick CM mouses die :/

I don't like the shape and feel of Razer mouses.
I'm anti-SteelSeries based on how crap the Siberia V2 headset is for the price I paid. Are the Sensei mouses actually as good as the praise or is it just more marketing BS like their headsets?
Corsair Vengeance any good?

Personally my preference is between Logitech and Roccat. I currently have the Roccat Savu and have had it for close to two years now! Great mouse, but if I have to buy now, I would go for Logitech.

I would NEVER buy a Razer mouse...they feel and look extremely cheap! As for SteelSeries and Corsair, I have no idea! Corsair seems pretty good!

You can't really go wrong with Logitech, Logitech has been my weapon of choice for a long time even before mx510 days. I had a few Razer mice and keyboards too but they tend to break or wear out much quicker than Logitech.

I can recommend Steelseries mice too, i've been using my Sensei raw for close to a year now and i still love it. Awesome mouse!

I've never had Corsair products so i can't comment on them, but don't discount Gigabyte. They make awesome gaming gear lately, and they are usually allot cheaper too.

Which particular Logitech mouse would you recommend though? The G302 Daedallus looks quite appealing (shape and size) but it's not in stock yet locally :(

I'm more used to a palm grip from using the Sentinels (shape pretty much forces it, though comfortably) but was always a claw grip before that

I'm tempted towards the Corsair M65 only because of how happy I was with their headsets before switching to SteelSeries Siberia V2 (which was a massive lie compared to all the reviews that had them both in), but if a Logitech user is recommending a SS mouse then maybe the mouse quality is a bit better :P

You can go wrong with Logitech...

I have a G700 mouse that I rather connect to the PC than use wirelessy. This is not a good gaming mouse, there is some lag, quite A LOT, and it stutters.

I have the Logitech K800 keyboard as well, it's even a bigger mistake than the mouse. I have to place the keyboard in a specific position so that the receiver can pick it up. The signal between receiver and keyboard dies as soon as I put my plate of food between the 2. This keyboard also has a known issue with the space bar, but that is beside the point.

My next mouse will be a WIRED roccat mouse.

I have the Corsair M60, which worked great (just less than 2 years) up till the point where the middle mouse button didn't function properly (has to be pressed hard). I tried to open up the mouse to clean it, like I used to do with my Logitech MX500 (which still works after ~10 years, granted I had to replace the cable from playing too much :) ) and I ended up breaking the plastic cover and damaging the mouse feet. So now I'm playing without a mouse pad, otherwise the mouse gets stuck on my cloth mouse pad.
Like here is a quote from a Logitech G402 review:
Further subtle tweaks include the chamfered edges round the base of the mouse, which help ensure the mouse doesn’t dig into your mousemat – a particular hindrance when quickly raising and moving the mouse in FPS games. The Corsair M45 doesn’t have this and digs in awkwardly.

The M60 isn't the most ergonomic mouse either, but I can still manage to play a couple of hours per day without issues :D
The tracking/accuracy of the M60 is pretty amazing.

If you're looking for a FPS mouse, perhaps consider the Logitech G402. Here's is a review done by NAG, which I consider is more in depth than the overseas reviews: http://www.nag.co.za/2014/11/14/review-logitech-g402-hyperion-fury-gaming-mouse/

Sensei, you wont be sorry.
Its the best mouse I have used and I have been through at least 10 gaming specific ones from all brands.

I tried a lot of options before discovering that the Logitech G400s is the perfect mouse. It's been awesome every day I've had it.

I have a Logitech G500. Nice mouse but the laser is not tracking that well anymore. I got one of those Steelseries Senseis from Takealot and I must say I prefer the Sensei's shape to the Logitech. The only thing I am missing is the Logitech's button that loosens the scroll wheel for fast scrolling. Overall very happy with the Sensei and not one bit dissapointed in not opting for another Logitech.

Well I just noticed Takealot has the Sensei RAW Frost Blue at 40% off so I think I'm gonna grab that. Saving R300 compared to the rest, so even if it's not as good as advertised I think that's a good deal. If it's crappy then I know to never EVER buys SteelSeries again :P

Don't buy it. I've got a Sensei RAW Guild Wars 2 edition and it's the worst mouse I've ever had. The cable is stiff and the rubberizing is already wearing off after 4 months. I'm extremely disappointed in it.

On the flip side, my Razer Naga Molten has been doing duty for 2 years now and still looks brand new. By far the best mouse I've ever owned. I dread having to replace it if Razer stops producing them.

Edit: I paid even less than that link on Takealot for my Sensei RAW and regard it as a waste of money.

To be honest i have very little experience with logitech wireless mice and keyboards as i tend to prefer wired, but it sounds like you have a faulty unit. Seems like logitech aint as dependable as they used to be. I still have an MX518 and a G500 in the drawer still running great after years of service.

Strange that, i have the normal rubberized RAW and the only slight issue i have is the cheap feeling scroll wheel lol

The G400 is also very nice, almost the same shape as the old MX510/MX518 :D had good days with mine

A friend of mine has the BLOPS2 edition RAW and I can see his is also looking a bit worn... The rubberizing started to bubble at the palm area of my mouse abd started peeling open. The white rubberizing on the mouse buttons also started discolouring and now look filthy and it doesn't clean off.

I'll never buy another Steelseries mouse again. They're overpriced and cheap. As much negative words people have about Razer, I'll always buy their mice as they last long and are comfortable to use.

I've had the exact opposite experience with both Razer and Steelseries sofar, i had the original Mamba, Imperator, Imperator 4g and the Orochi then also the Lachesis and 2 keyboards i can't remember the names of.

To me the Steelseries Sensei Raw is the best mouse i've had sofar, but that can change if and when the rubberizing starts coming off etc.

Don't touch Roccat, biggest load of ***.
I had one of the fancy Kone's and the middle mouse button died in less then a year.... Back to my Gigabyte MX8000 which is going strong 6 years later.
