What I currently have
Old core 2 pc's with the 5.xx" HDD's
Mtn Uncapped (Freebie from work)
Android Stick in living room on a 40" Sinotec
Lenovo Pc on 39" Sinotec in daughters room
What I think will use way less power in the long run, server wise and mpc wise
One of those small form factor Windows 8.1 Mini Box type things
2 x 2.5" External drives on a 8 port active usb hub
1 x new Android stick for the daughters room
If anyone has experience with the Windows 8.1 Mini Box, I must be able to watch HD content on it (I rarely watch HD though, mostly SD, but there are times I want to watch something in HD), I must be able to stream from it to other devices also. Can they handle it all?
Will this make my home more green? Will it be worth it or will I just end up using the same amount of power as a old core 2 pc and a Lenovo pc?
