Hello,

Anyone know why the following is happening,
I got a SSD for my pc a few months back and noticed now that the space used on the SSD vs my backup drive is different with the exact same files on them both.

1. SSD is a data drive on my pc after formatting is 953GB and has 725GB of data on it. However it shows 760GB. Checked hidden files etc... and cannot find where the additional 35GB could be...

2. Normal SATA is a backup drive has the exact same files on it 725GB and shows the correct amount of free space used...

Any idea why this could be?

What does the partitions look like on each of the drives?

Recycle bin?

The missing 35Gb is a common thing:

If it's not that then there's another common issue where Windows is allocating data on it, which you can pick up with Treesize as said.

Thanks will have a look at both, appreciated
