What new HD PVR? Just get the HD PVR 2P. There is no reason to wait.
Bigger hard drive. Much bigger, apparently. And Xtra-View compatible which was apparently not on the cards at first. That's about all I can tell you for fear of having my balls ripped off for the rest. There is a completely new user interface coming soon as well. Not based on Open TV (which I think is what the current software is based on). The new software is being designed from the ground-up by Multichoice and focusses a lot on pay-per-view and on-demand content...
But this new decoder won't be available for some time still...

Waiting for the new smart TV ...
Waiting for the new Galaxy S5....
Waiting for the new Iphone 7....
Buy and enjoy, otherwise you will wait forever. A colleague did not upgrade his phone for 3 years, because he was waiting :wtf: .... he could have had a phone (and a half) in that time .... In the process subsidising everyone else.

Not sure. Thing is, I don't think they can just upgrade decoders over the air, to run the new OS... So I'm not sure that we will see it on existing decoders.

This is why I'll patiently wait for the new PVR. I am not moving from my SD-PVR till then. Nothing in HD is worth it just yet.
