Hey All.

I have decided to ditch the DSTV and go for a complete streaming solution using the like of Netflix, iPlayer, 4OD & Plex.

Currently I have 3 tv's that I want to hook up. I am looking to buy a Roku 3 for our main TV so happy there, we also have a further 2 TV's where I am looking for a more scaled down streaming solution. So far I have looked into:

Raspberry Pi - I was very keen on this idea but after reading some forums seems it can be quite jittery due to it being underpowered etc
Chromecast - This seems a good contender only down side is that it is wireless so could suffer lag - any comments here?
Roku 2 - I cannot find anything bad about this other than being more expensive that the above two. So a good option i think...

Any advice on the above would be appreciated - and any other options as well !

Thanks
Stuart

Are any of your TV's smart? I've plugged mine into my router and can access everything on my laptop.

I would spend more and stick a Roku 3 onto each tv. Rock solid and works for everything you want to achieve - you will not be sorry down the line. I have my second one en route to me from Amazon and it cost me R1450 all in

would ebay not be cheaper ?

Thinking that sticking with the Roku 3's may be the best choice, will also get a RPi for the tinkering tho ...
