I went online and checked my hosting providers web plans and was visibly shocked to see what gets offered
abroad compared to local access (which is $$$ due to Telkom and other factors).
Please do not see this as advertising but a serious wakeup call to what is being offered.
As I mentioned in a previous posting Africam.com use to have 10 Mb/s of bandwith when
they hosted locally here in SA, costs must have exceeded R250k/month back in 2000.
Now you can get 5000 G (yes 5Tb of bandwidth ) & 320 Gb of hard drive space for
$6.75/month (R60.44)and if you go for the more expensive hosting plan at a
shocking $9.75 (R87.30) you get unmetered bandwidth and unlimited disk space.
