New iPhone 4S with a Vodacom SIM : stability problems

It is the Vodacom network or else the iOS5 update. All 3 of us with iPhone 4's on the Vodacom network are experiencing the same problem in iOS5. So it's either one or the other, most likely Vodacom if you say MTN is fine.

I have an iphone 4 on vodacom and I have never had this issue.

Strange.

I have an iPhone 3GS (from Vodacom) and the last few months I am having this same issue. 3G comes and goes, and so does data. I have to switch Airplane mode on and then off to get signal again (at this point my messages all flood through). It's very frustrating and I will be moving to 8ta.

I've had the very same issue since porting to Vodacom. All my previous iPhones worked fine on my personal MTN sim card, but unfortunately my business decided to move ALL our staff to Vodacom 2 years ago. When using my Vodacom SIM I constantly drop calls, lose 3G, battle to sync my emails... I have to stand outside my own house to make a call because my calls drop the minute I walk in the door. And yes, I've tried my 3G, 3Gs, 4 and even my spare nokia does the same - They all work just fine on MTN.

I would not recommend Vodacom to anyone.

For information, this is the reply from Vodacom :
That's the reply you got from a Vodacom representative?!??!?!?!?!?!?!

No wonder Vodacom is going to the dogs, they can't even get reps to spell and use grammar properly!!

I just tested with a MTN pay as you go card, and it is working perfectly. I am going to cancel my contract with Vodacom. How can they not support the latest state of the art iPhone remains a mystery
Please call Vodascum and tell them this. I'd love to know their response!

"Um, er, shoo, well ja, you see..." Hahahaha

i agree, bye bye Vodacom. Cant wait for my contract to finish. Some working 3G coverage would be nice....
