"the best headphones we have ever made...."

Was a very true statement this time, I am really impressed with these headphones. The quality audio these bad boys produce along with the comfort is something I have never experienced.

On a side note, apple audio in general is something truly amazing :

my macbook pro retina destroys my HP with beats, it even kills the Shox speaker I had lying around.

/fanboyism off

I agree. I like the stock headphones as well and I am actually very spoilt (Sennheiser HD600, Denon AHC560, Klipsch s4i).

I used the stock Apple earphones today when I went for a run. Pretty impressed as to how they stay inside the ear. I only had to move the left one like once per km but they didn't fall out once.

Well done Apple!

Looking forward to getting them with my new iphone

I agree, they're quite good.

The only two problems I have with them is that they begin to hurt your ears after about an hour, but I guess that's due to the whole ear-piece begin made of plastic. And then it's also lacking some bass as well, but overall they're quite impressive for earphones of this price range.

Nevertheless, I still prefer my Skullcandy earphones for two reasons: 1) It's more comfortable for prolonged usage, and 2) it's actually black.

Agreed. If I compare to my Aerial7 Bullet headphones they more comfortable and they have much better audio quality. They do look a little odd though.

The iPhone5 also has a very impressive loudspeaker. Much better than my mates S3 - which I thought could be better. Not that I'd use it very often though. In my opinion laptop and phone speakers should only be used in times of desperation.

Are these the same set you get with the new generation ipods?

Ya, that's the same crap with shoes, left for left, right for right, hell, how to manage that?

;)

I suppose if you're having trouble figuring out which shoe goes on which foot you could label them. To prevent unnecessary confusion labeling your shoes and your feet might be best initially. Later, when you're feeling comfortable then introduce socks into the mix. :)

touché, now get the hell outta here

I find the new headphones a little sore in the ear. The sound quality is a lot better though.
