anyone being trolling the net about the possibility of the next iphone being released soon? i.e the 3g version.

O2 just dropped another £100 off the price of one here in the uk....its £179 now compared to £325 when it orignally came out. so i'm thinking they are planning on releasing the newer one soon.......

so must i be patient and wait or just go get one now?

Wait for firmware 2.0 to be released first, that way you'll know if it's unlock-able and if there will be 3G models.

The new iPhone will probably be aluminum not plastic.

I reckon you get one now and sell it as after an official release date for the 3G model is announced..

Hmm but thinking about it...Your in UK..The value of an iPhone over there isnt as much as it is here in SA.. I could easily sell my iPhone second hand for £179 :p Dont think its the same in the UK though.. So on second thought, maybe you should wait..

maybe i should get one...i'll give it too the wife when the new one comes out.....she frickin loves it.

you go to an O2 store here and they have them on display, in the sense that you can sit and play with them....they're flippin awesome.

about the comments of the next version being aliminium not plastic....they currently look aliminium...i'm looking at an ipod touch now and the back looks like aliminium....the ipod touch and iphone are identical.

Yes but it's plastic, the future macbook range will be aluminum so I assume the iPhone will be too, the latest iPods are aluminum.
