New k3565 user

Hi all, just bought a new laptop and vodacom huawei k3565 modem. Last time i had a internet connection was when 56k dialup was all the rage, so im a newbie when it comes to all of this. Just a couple of questions, help much appreciated. When i connect i never seem to get more than 2 bars ie signal poor, is there anything i can do to remedy this? Also i have about 20 meg left, gonna get a 1gig, will the 20 be added onto the 1 gig or will i lose it? One last question when i click on the wireless icon(bottom right-using vista) without the modem plugged in i sometimes pick up "netgear", im to scared to click on it, is this somebody elses network in my vicinity.

Also i received excellent help from the staff at kenilworth centre vodacom, the guys i bought the laptop from explained this complicated way of loading data onto the sim card. I just took the modem and my number into the shop, asked for 500meg and boom it was done, no hassles, no waiting. Thanks all, very informative website.

ok, well you can use ginngs' MDMA program to load airtime, as it supports USSD commands (basically when you dial *111# to buy a bundle, you need to use a phone - MDMA takes care of this straight from the PC.)
(thats if you are pay as you go) you can recharge via your bank account too.

the 20Mb will be added if I remember correctly from the vodacom Rep here, "V3G"

he will help you if you run into problems, quite quickly.
