New key housing replacement for Citi Rox

Hey guys,

A little help here. My key casing has aged and cracked. With the crack, it has flaked off a bit over time. Is there anyway in which I can take my complete key+internal workings and just transfer it into another of similar makeup?

I have been quoted R2000 by VW for a new key which is pathetic for metal and plastic. My key works perfectly, but if it cracks anymore, it will be useless

This may help or may not.. but I was looking at doing the same thing my keys. Although they are not VW im sure its the same.

You can buy just the shell for about $10 online.. So have a look around. Then there will inevitably be a tutorial on how to transfer it.

I've been trying to find the same shell though, which I can't seem to do It would be super easy if I could find the shell because the blade is just pulled off, and the "guts" can clip out. But I can't transfer to a different shell due to the button placement.

Maybe they will give you one of those flip keys.. might be worth the cash?

My sister has the same citi golf key as you and it always stabs me when its in my pocket!
