New Laptop under 10K

Hi Hosehead,

I'd like to know a bit more about your exact requirements for a notebook. We've got your budget, but we'd like to know more about your intended usage and preferences. Please PM me if you'd like further assistance with a tailored quotation.

Here's one of my recommendations for an excellent notebook within your specified budget, I have also just confirmed availability, it is in stock with our supplier:
GIGABYTE InNote Q1580V - Intel Core2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz, 4GB DDR2-800, 500GB SATA HDD, 15.4" @ R 8497.00

Nice. that. Just not sure about the brand. I need to read up on it, much like mecer I suppose.Maybe better.?
I'm not picky, but I want speed and XP and decent graphics and something that won't require extra glue and duct tape to keep it together after a couple of months.
And price. Obviously between 5-10 and closer to the lower end of the budget

The Gigabyte is definitely the laptop to go for in that price-range at the moment. Very good quality build. Also the warranty is for 2 years on the notebook (1 year on battery and charger).

The specs are very good:

GIGABYTE InNote Notebook: Q1580V - Intel Core2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz Processor, 4GB DDR2 800MHz Memory (2x 2GB - 2 Slots), 500GB 5400RPM 2.5" SATA HDD, 8x DVD Super Multi Writer, 15.4" Glare Type 1280x800 Gloss Widescreen, 2.0 MegaPixel Webcam, Intel PM45 Express Mobile Chipset, nVidia GeForceGo 9600M GS 512MB, Integrated Gigabit LAN, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n @ 300Mbps, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit, 2 Year Global Warranty With Fetch And Repair, 3x USB 2.0 (1x USB/eSATA Combo), 1x Headphone Jack, 1x Microphone Jack, 1x D-Sub VGA, 1x HDMI, 1x RJ-45 Ethernet, 3-In-1 Reader
