New level 3 lockdown rules in a nutshell

So booze sales for limited days and limited hours..... because once again it's better to force people together for a limited window than to spread it out?! Can the online liquor people sell and deliver any time, or would that once again be unfair on the brick-and-mortar shops? Eish..... things change and yet they stay the same.
We don't yet know which days and for what hours, do we?

An earlier draft mentioned Monday to Wednesday 08:00 to 12:00. But the exact days and times aren't really the point..... assuming constant demand, limiting the hours simply forces more chance of contact among people.

The most recent "draft" circulating says... An off-consumption premises selling liquor may only operate between Monday to Thursday according to current liquor licence operating hours. So it could be worse.

Mad rush to buy up any and all alcohol. No one wants to run out *when* (not if) we return to 4 and 5.

Ummm, I don't think you're looking at this very clearly. At the start of lockdown SA was getting 50-60 new cases a day. Right now it's 1200 a day and still climbing. If infection rate/number of cases had any effect at all on levels we would never have come down from level 5. This is all about politics and economics, not infections. The chances of going back to level 4/5 are very low, except perhaps in small hotspots. The economic impact is just too high, and that impact is falling heavily on exactly the people who elected the ANC.

Hairdressers still not allowed, damn this is BS. Will have to go to one of those Pakistan guys working from home.

Will people be allowed to leave the district in which they reside to another for the purpose of buying goods?
For that matter may one leave the province without having to be in possession of a permit?

The restrictions are still bad. I don't want to visit strangers in my local shop. Let's hear your best legal suggestions for seeing family members?

Just do it, in the entire 8 weeks I've seen one cop car and it had pulled someone over at 5 minutes passed 8 to search for booze and smokes.

Best legal suggestion?

Go visit them..... Just don't have big family gatherings by parking 10 cars on the pavement outside... just 1 or 2 people, have a lunch or whatever and just relax.
