New level 3 lockdown rules in a nutshell

Wait for the mother of the nation's address for more details.

Wait until the hospitals overflow. And the morgue fills up.

In Cape Town, that's already the case: https://www.iol.co.za/news/south-af...s-covid-19-cases-double-every-5-days-48398951

There is still capacity across the system, but some individual hospitals are at capacity. So patients are being shuffled. E.g., paediatric services at Groote Schuur have been moved to the Red Cross Children's hospital. That was planned for a while, but the move was accelerated to make space for covid patients.

You can only leave your district if it hasn't been moved to a level higher than the one you want to visit. Not sure how it'll work but it's in the draft regulations.

It won't work... I just have to look at the area I live in...

Between eThekwini and the next district inland I know of at least 10 roads... and there will be countless others. They will not be able to police it at all.

This supposed run on hospitals and morgues probably won't happen , the economic fallout is probably going to kill more people than this badly made Chinese flu.

inter-provinvcial travel for return to school or work in level 3? Surely another weekend concession has to be made?

I don't see what they're going to police, just tell them you're going to work...

So what are schools gonna do when kids don't abide by the hair rules...

Oh come on now. Don't bring reality onto an online forum.... tsek. Don't you know people here are blissfully ignorant?

Farking spoilsport!

Hairdressers still not allowed, damn this is BS. Will have to go to one of those Pakistan guys working from home.

There's some confusion over that. Draft regulations said no personal/healthcare if 1.5m social distancing can't be applied but let's wait and see.

Her's a question for everybody in SA. If cigarettes are not available anywhere legally in SA what are the police and soldiers smoking everyday?

That is none of your damn business, bloody agent!

Your business is only to obey, and eat jackboot if you don't, got it? Good!

It's not the cops you have to worry about, it's Karen next door.
This is a legitimate concern in my case. Someone in my folk's street called the cops on a neighbour that had a domestic working there hanging up washing. It was resolved because the domestic was a live-in, but not before a lot of explaining. I'm not keen to get a criminal record as it will affect visa applications.

But it seems we've all been reduced to criminals now? Well played to the government, that's how tyranny works I guess.
