even though i don't think it will improve their performance, this is the first time i've ever been inclined to by the lions super14 shirt. it looks quiet awesome, saw it on the news last night.

let the flaming begin

I think they probably have as much of a chance as the Blue Bulls.

They made an awsome turnaround in the Currie Cup. They all young and very tallented.

Can't wait for the Super 14 !!!!

The only way their performance will improve is if they all drown in a Tsunami and a whole new team is chosen.

I am a lot more positive about the Lions this year. I don't think they are going to win the tournament or anything but I think they won't be in wooden spoon contention and I predict they will notch up their first overseas win this year.

They're lucky a court case went their way, otherwise they wouldn't even be playing this year.

no such luck was involved.

sa rugby bought controlling stakes in the spears feeder unions, they then ordered a board meeting where they "a.k.a. SA rugby" voted to withdraw participation in the super 14 and break up the franchise.

don't you just love what sa rugby has learnt from american style takeovers.

the lions are going to do much better....they won't be the wooden spoon this time....i'm backing up my confidence by going to watch them play the waratas in the first game on the 2 feb at ellis.

legal wrangling AKA shenanigans. Lions were lucky, if the Spears succeeded then the Lions would be relegated to the dirt bin.

But, the Lions are playing, so I am sure they're in some dark little room dreaming up how to be the dirtiest players once more.

no they weren't lucky, i predicted from the get go that the spears was a pipe dream meant to shut interferring politicians up, they were never going to happen. period.

its all about the money, dad dum dum doomy dum dum (like the song goes)

the bulls are the dirtiest by far, dude.

No the lions definitely have more thugs in their squad.

bakkies and victor count for atleast 4 average thugs, just due simply to their size.

and what about the most overrated twat in sa rugby...johan roets.....mister i never pass because that means i can't score....so i'll try run through everybody in my way and then look astonished why habana is upset with me for not passing to him on the wing when he was open

I would say the most overrated twat is Bobbie Skinstad, but luckily he is now a shark. But definitely Roets is a close second.

I think Cats (or is Lions) are going to do much better than they did last year, especially since they now have Loffies as coach. Lions done pretty well in the Currie Cup, so hopefully they can carry good form into the Super 14.
