New Local Gaming show

Lets be honest though, The Verge will only REALLY take off once Pippa does a FHM shoot for all of us ;)

i saw some SMS scroll bars, it only works in live shows

That is true :) It may or may not change, that's not a decision I make.

I watched the show yesterday and I was not really impressed because of one simple reason.
They show you a cool game then and the end you see it is only for ps3 or xbox and Im a pc gamer so i was so depressed.
They should not mix pc , xbox , ps3 games.

Sigh, that is indeed always a bugger - I'm mainly a PC person myself, but well, you do what you have to ;)

and hopefully they'll listen to constructive criticism :)

Always... as long as it's constructive :)

Why is the show shot live? and are the tatoos real? :)

no they're just drawn on...

hahahaha, yes, they're real ;) And those are just the ones you can see - I also have a rather large piece down my one side.

Don't tell me its a full length tatoo of Bill Gates, you PC gamer you :)

First start with a PC Format cover shot. FHM and Playboy will soon follow ;)

True, 10pm isn't that late :p

Read? after gaming? You wouldn't by any chance be reading walkthroughs now would you?

Sounds great, i'm reading a fantasy novel, its called the Neotel brochure.

Is presenting your primary job (i.e. is your day job that you mention the Go stuff?)

lol - fantasy indeed... ;) luckily the one im reading is more interesting...

no, my day job is teaching 3d animation at wits university - i teach 4th yr/honours and masters practical and theory. presenting for Go is my 'other' job - and i only do the verge and playr, gaming related stuff because thats my area of research at wits.

sounds incredibly challenging, is it one of your goals to be involved in creating/developing any PC games?

well i mainly teach 3d animation, and from an artists perspective, not a programming one. we worked on a game based project as a collaboration this year with electrical and information engineering this year, and it is indeed incredibly challenging... the theory course i teach deals with comic books and videogames.

My background is fine arts, although my masters is in 3d animation, so my research tends to deal more with videogames and art, but we're always developing the programme so the potential is there.

personally i'm not sure - originally thats where i wanted to go, and i have a few friends in different game development studios overseas, but then i found that i enjoyed teaching - opportunities always present themselves however, so we'll see... :)

It looks like your having quite a great time with everything, best of luck!

Anyway, now it is late, have a great rest of xmas & boxing day!
