Hi folks

You should notice a slight difference in the site. I had some free time today and thought it was high time for a face lift. Please give your opinions and suggestions.

You will notice a new “Articles” section currently pointing to the news section. The aim for this new section is to offer MyADSL members the chance to submit and publish articles on MyADSL. We have many experts among us and I think we can produce excellent and news worthy ADSL related articles. I think this can become a source for the media in investigating ADSL in South Africa. Needless to say all the articles published must be factually sound, well researched and will be proofread before it gets published. Please give your views on this initiative.

I hope you enjoy the new look.

Regards,

RPM

Imagine my surprise when I opened my default web-page to see a great new look - very professional and very well done rpm. Thumbs up!![:D]

One little thing though, mayb its just me, Articles and News links to the same page[?]

Hi Quazzi

Thanks for the kind words regarding the site. I played around with a few designs, but opted for a basic look using CSS and not rollover images. The page sizes are therefore very small and should function correctly in most browsers.

They indeed point to the same page…for now. The intention of the Articles section is that users have the chance to publish well researched articles regarding ADSL in South Africa (see original port).

Good job[8]

Fantasy is what people want, reality is what they need.

well done, I like the new look, looks professional [:)]

Really nice new look, except maybe you could just change the wording of the FAQ"s so they aren't completely stolen from the bandwidthplace.com site. Looks a bit cheap, you see...

Great otherwise.

Hi Flippit

It was not my idea to sell it as authentic. Since I use their service I would simply like to supply users with the background for the test. It should answer all their questions regarding this speed test. Any suggestions here?

Hi RPM,
I like it.
Just one thing. Someone mentioned about the polls not being visible. I have the same thing. Is there somewhere one can see the result of past polls. For example, what was the outcome of the gaming one?
Thanks
paf

Hi Paf and Musnit

The reason why I dropped the poll in the new design was the problems I had with it. I could not retrieve any of the results. To the best of my knowledge about 59% of people indicated that they use ADSL for gaming. I am sorry about the administrative problems in this respect. I am currently looking at different options, and if I find a trustworthy (and easy) option the poll will appear again.

Congratulations on the great professional new look. I hope that it inspires the members to even greater levels of professionalism in their own submissions. If Telkom had any sense they would provide a link to myadsl on their website. This is after all not only a complaints forum but also contains really useful info for newbies. I mean they call us a small renegade group which should not use ADSL, with the large amount of happy customers they maintain they have also linking here, should balance out the general complaints about their service surely! I mean you do not stop people from congratulating them after all when they provide a good service.
Great site!

Very professional look. One thing - is it possible to have a link to all the email addresses to all the powers that be in Telkom to enable complaints to reach the right people quicker? There are so many unhappy people here that if the top people heard about all the gripes they may relaise they have a serious problem!
