New Macbook Pro and Vodacom 3G USB device

I have just got a new Macbook pro 13-inch i3 2.3Ghz (10.6.6). I migrated my data and applications from my previous Macbook Pro 13-inch Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz (10.6.6)

Since migrating I have not been able to use my Vodacom USB 3G K4505Z device on the Macbook. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Mac driver for the device. But still no luck. It keeps on saying it cannot recognise the data device.

What am I doing wrong. Is there another driver I need to use. What is different. Both machines had the same OS

Any help will be much appreciated.

Aaargh! That's the ZTE modem and I have noticed a similar issue. Sys Prefs -> Network and each time you restart or change networks or even hot-plug the ZTE it installs as ZTE-Modem-1 then ZTE-Modem-2 then 3 then 4 etc.

Does the Voda dashboard software work? I will try this with mine and see if I can get right.
