New MacBook Pro pricing released by MG

yes, and did you notice how they screwed up the pricing on the 15.4" models? The midrange one is R19,999 and the bottom of the range one is R21,999

eish, its still way over priced.

Its just not that doable to be a mac user in sa. Unless you can get family/friends to buy one directly from the US.

15-inch: 2.53GHz - R21,799.00
15-inch: 2.66GHz - R19,899.00

If the 2.66GHz MBP is the cheapest one on offer, why would anyone even consider the other models?

something tells me that price is incorrect on the website...

The pricing is correct. Apple released new MBPs and dropped prices on the new ones. The store is now trying to get rid of old stock. The pricing does not make sense but if you look at other features on the MBPs you will see that new models are thrown in.

That isn't correct thought. The old 2.66Ghz Model (which had a 512mb Graphics card) is completely sold out. The only old model still available is the 2.4Ghz one with the 256mb Graphics card. That is advertised as R19,999.00 (which is the price it is being offered at from most resellers).

The 2.66Ghz model on the site is the new 2.66Ghz model which is replacing the old 2.4Ghz model. So it too has the 256mb Graphics card. This is being advertised at R19,899.00 which does not make sense? The lower end model of the new 15" pros has only the 9400 chip and a 2.53Ghz processor. And even that is being advertised at R21,799.00

Hi all, the prices og megagraphix.co.za website are all correct

Then why would anyone choose to pay 27999 for a laptop when megagraphics is selling it for 19999? That is even less than the next model down!
