My PC currently has a Asus P5ld2 and an Intel E6300 processor. It is starting to take a bit of strain, so I am looking to upgrade. In the past, I have always purchased a new PC from Incredible Connection (no comments please!), but now feel confident to build one myself.
I currently have a Sapphire Game Edition Radeon HD5770 16xPCIE 128-bit 1GB DDR5 graphics card and a Western Digital Caviar Black 1.0TB Desktop Hard Drive which I plan to put into the new set up.
Am currently thinking about the Intel DP55WG motherboard, a i5 750 processor and 2x2gb of Dominator 1600MHz DDR3 Desktop Memory Modules.
Do you think this is a suitable combination? Will be used mostly for gaming.
Also, I am running Windows 7 Home Premium DSP which lives and dies with the machine. Does anyone know what the machine actually is? At what point do upgrades become a new machine?
