New motherboard and processor

My PC got hit by lightning last year

I have not figured out the extent of the damage yet but I am starting on motherboard and processor.

What would you go for if you wanted to spend around R2,500 (motherboard and processor)?

My power supply is fine by the way.

I play games and I have a gefore 460 in there. Hopefully that is ok, but doubt it.

I'd try to go for an i5 CPU and a B75 chipset motherboard (cheaper then Z77 chipset).

I had a PSU survive but it started acting weird and fried the PC it was in

Thanks for the advice guys. Nice to see a varity of options here.

Will check what brand my PSU is when I get home, but the lightning did not enter through the PSU, it was through the video card as it was connected to the amp and that was connected to the sattelite dish.
