Hey i can get the asrock h97 performance and asrock 970 motherboard for R1400.Which do u think is better and also better for my needs, this is a new build i'm doing, feel free to recommend another mobo, but i think this is a quality board for that price?

What i'm building

i7 4790
Kingston Savage 1866 8gb (would prefer 1866 as i run recording software,h97 board is limited to 1600 i believe)
Seasonic M12ii 620w
212 cooler
fractal r5

I own a R9270x windforce,which i will be upgrading within 2years to hopefullly 980ti
So what mobo would u recommend for r1400

I have the H97 and running a I5 and R9 290 off it.

Not a problem in the world. What exactly is it that you want to get from the board should be the focus point.

I might be wrong but the 970 is an AMD board I think so you need to get the h97 anyway.

I might be wrong !
