What do you guys think aboutthe new Motorola phone range?

Moto X Style

5.7 inch 1440 x 2560 display
Snapdragon 808 3GB RAM 32/64 GB storage with micro SD slot
21 MP camera 5 MP selfie
3000 mAh battery
Price $399 Mabe R 6500?

Moto X Play

5.5 inch 1080 x 1920 display
Snapdragon 615 2 GB RAM 16/32 GB storage with micro SD
21 MP camera 5 MP selfie
big 3630mAh battery
Price $300 Mabe R5000 ?

Moto G

5 inch 720x1280 display
Snapdragon 410 and 1GB RAM and 8GB storage or 2GB RAM and 16 GB storage with micro SD
13 MP/5MP camera
2470 mAh battery
Price $ 180 or $ 220 maybe R2900 or R3500?
 
I'm really liking the X style and X play .I might just make the X style with 3gb Ram my next device , hope the camera's are good .

Its been benchmarked. so far its 3 points shy of being as good as the s6/edge camera.
Best part is that's on pre-release software meaning its going to get better.

This however has to be the best looking phone coming out this year, in my opinion.
 
The moto x style looks amazing for that price point just wondering isn't 5.7 inches too big
 
If the Moto X Style 'Pure Edition' gets a good local price then it'll be the phone to buy.

No, because the phone's bezels are small.
 
The only things Motorola really needed to fix on the Moto X was a bit of freshening up on the design, an improved camera and better battery life. I'm not sure why they had to turn it into a phablet sized phone with a power hungy QHD display? It would have been killer with a 5.2" 1080P display which guarantees longer battery life. Going with LCD from an OLED display is also a minor disappointment.

On the one hand they look excellent considering the high VFM compared to their their rivals, but I'm a bit disappointed that its not the killer phone I was expecting. As we've seen on the LG G4, the Snapdragon 808 is a mismatch when paired with QHD sized displays. I'm now kind of curious to see what the new 2015 Nexus 5 is going to be like. Maybe LG will also consider dropping the price on the G4? Stock Android though is much better and its great always getting the latest updates.

Here is a size comparison from Phonearena. Definitely phablet territory. Much heavier and thicker than the Moto X 2014 too.

It's hardly a phablet. 5.5" is a normal size for Android phones, and the small bezels on the 5.7" Moto X Style give the phone a similar footprint.

I'm more concerned about the fact that the phone is more than 1cm thick. Thickness has a big impact on pocketability. I also have concerns about the screen's resolution. I don't know why anyone bothers with such high pixel densities until battery technology can support it.

It's a great phone, but I'd rather have a OnePlus 2.

The Moto X Style is exactly the same size as the Note 4, while being much thicker, which I would consider phablet territory, or not? The Play version is somewhere in between similar to the LG G4 (the G3 was a better design in my view). Considering how poorly the Nexus 6 have fared and that LG have only managed to shift 250,000 G4 phones so far tells me that today's Android phones are too large for most people.
