New MP dies after inauguration

i find it interesting the reaction on myBB when a member of the ANC dies as opposed to say PW Botha.

Yes because we all sent letters of condolence to the Botha family?

Just because someone has died doesn't mean we owe them any respect. I'm am sorry for those left behind, but that person (as in PW Botha's or Cassaburi's case) is not made a better person due to their death.

She was a member of COSATU's PEC... which does allow me to profile her to a point, and she was an ANC MP... who bar 2 exceptions that I know of, have been egotistical childish, and greedy... I will admit that I'm assuming alot about her...... but given what I know of her, its a fairly safe assumption.

And apparent "meow" and chant "Shilowa is a fool" in Parliament. They got what they deserve.

Condolences to those left behind, however.

you should perhaps read the threads in question - say ivy vs botha

I'm just surprised more MP's haven't dropped dead already ... have you seen how many fat fsks there are in parliament?
Most seem to be 20 meals ahead and 10 shts behind

Massive coronaries, HIV/AIDS for the president, liver failure and old age you would think would tear through the cabinet.

Regardless of what you think of the ANC or the government you don't wish dead on people or say good riddance when someone does die. Full stop!

Disgusting!

Not even an evil man like Adolf Hitler? I don't see problem with it, as long as you respect the people left behind.

Adolf Hitler killed millions of people. Can you honestly say the same of the newly appointed minister?

Really?

I wish Ugly Bob was dead and I will have a party when he dies - hopefully from a bullet to the face.

As to this person - don't know them so I wouldn't make such a statement.

Exactly. We haven't a clue who this person is yet because they were with the government it was a good thing?

Unfortunately for your comment I was referring to a general statement that "you don't wish dead on people or say good riddance when someone does die". If you had made particular reference to the MP then we could have a discussion, but yours was all encompassing, as was my reply.

No actually it was not all encompassing as i was referring to ANC and the people in government put in charge. I was not referring to mass dictators. But yes i didn't quite sew up all the loose ends which allowed for the misinterpretation.

You neither clarified nor classified.

To prove the absurdity of your case we need to refer to the most extreme case. In your instance you may not know how this person or someone has personally injured another. Perhaps if you has referred to this statement as a general rule rather than an absolute I would agree, however the context of your post leads me to believe you have stated the latter.

Regardless of the semantics being discussed...the comments made on this thread about 'thats one way to get rid of them' is quite alarming to say the least. It makes me question where South Africa's moral compass in fact lies.

When PW Botha died I think the only group that had anything nice to say about him was the ANC. The general view on the forum at the news of his death was good riddance.
