Hi
I am going to open a new contract tomorrow with one of the MTN branches near me. They already have the phone that I want (I inquired).I was just wondering whether I would be able to get the phone(on the same day....yes im desperate :D) or does anything need to be approved first? And how long should it take?

Thanks :)
xoxo

Hey PeppeR

Unfortunately they take a while to do a credit check, etc. before they process your application. So it's highly unlikely that you can still get the phone the same day. Once you've reached your first upgrade, though, it can even be same day.

Oh yes, welcome to the MTN contract subscriber family :D

Aaaagh:) Thanks for the reply though ;)

is it a new contract? or an upgrade? upgrades happen the same day, contracts (dopending on different factors) take between 2 and 4 days normally. I have had contracts approved on the same day, my advice: go early. Although not many contracts get approved on the same day.

I do hope for your sake that you did not sign up - it has been a nightmare ever since I signed and I for one will never recommend they get any more clients.

The lying, the bull$h!te and the institutionalised thievery are to be avoided. We deserve better for the price we are paying in South Africa.

For what we pay in South Africa we should be getting a Rolls Royce service , what we do get instead is sewage service not a care about the customers concerns and certainly nothing more than a defensive, it wasn't me attitude it must have been 'someone else'.

I for one feel sorry for the call centre staff who are not trusted and themselves are lied to. Often.

You should see how poorly paid they are for all the rubbish they have to put up with.

If we want to have a better country we have to take charge and change things every day, one step at a time. Starting with getting good customer service.
