Wow! I ran 3DMark with the 91.47 ForceWare driver and got 5500 marks. Downloaded the new 93.71 ForceWare driver today and got over 6000 marks!!!

Absolutely fantastic - thanks, Nvidia!!

*I've got a WinFast GeForce 6600 AD.

3D Mark 03. I'm too scared to run a newer version with my 6600...

downloading now.
i think im still on 91.xx

will run 06 see if any differance

I'm ecstatic, free performance upgrade for my card.

*Was playing FarCry again - and it looks absolutely fantastic! Don't know what nVidia did, but the soldiers and monsters look much more defined?

I can only use one driver as GF8 doesn't share drivers with other GFX cards :( but performance is getting better from the 96.6X driver, to 96.92, then 96.98 now on 97.02 and it looks to be better :D

500 points, that's allot :) Does it make the game run better though?

as if you need any extra performance

IMO it should be crime to have such a powerfull graphics card :(

well my score went down by 20 :(

Great, i might be getting a Nvidia card now instead of a ATI :)

Hey ShockG, you know so much about these things, it would be great if you could tell me which is a better buy? A 7800GT for R1650 or a X1900GT for R2070.. the 7800GT will be a bit easier to buy for me, no shipping involved..
then again you probably had these types of cards about 5 years ago.. so nevermind :D

I installed these and they made no difference. NFS Carbon still crawls on my system (6600GT & 1GB RAM), even on lowest settings and resolution! I'd be lucky to reach 5 fps :(

Im sure somethign else must be wrong or that game must be REALLY demanding...

They list the FX5200 as a supported chipset  I figure my setup should at least run on medium settings. Something else definitely wrong, the game isn't all that demanding - probably the same as the previous two undergrounds.

need for speed is never demanding dude

the last need for speed ummm what was it called grrrrrrrr

anyways my g/f's father played it with onboard vga and 512 meg ram

everything was low but it still ran at im sure 20-40 fps :)

highflyer china there is something very wrong there

6600gt isnt that bad and neither is a gig of ram

what cpu you running?

P4 3.0 Ghz. All the previous NFS's ran fine at maximum settings and 1024x768 resolution. This crawls even on 640x480 with lowest settings. Maybe I should try an original :D
