Hi all,

I'm in the process of looking for a new office PC for my uncle's business. The one that is being replaced is fairly old, with support for 533 DDR2 (and some requirements such as max capacity per slot being 1gb double sided RAM), and is only running on 512mb of RAM, Windows XP and Office 2003.. I feel it is fairly safe to upgrade considering the computer is crawling at the moment.

I've had a small poke for a decent yet cheap computer to take its place. We're not going to bother with getting new keybroad/mouse/monitor business and thus solely aiming for a decent tower. I found the following combination at PC Zone...

Intel i3 2100 (for R2799)
3ghz CPU
2gb DDR3 RAM
500gb HDD
+ Windows 7 Professional (R1399)
+ Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Business (R1599)

Total = R5797

Would you say this is a decent bargain, or recommend something else in its place?

Ideally, I'll like to have the computer up and running by the end of next week Tuesday... :)

Thanks for any advice!

Another option

The Proline Office Ware POH61i3S123W7HP price will leave you with enough cash to buy Office though and match that price.
Three year carry in warranty (with warranty upgrades to onsite also available).

If you keep your above option consider 3-4Gb ram instead of 2GB.
Especially if you might have a lot of apps open at once.
