New Patch Content

if you bothered to read the patch notes they releasing 1 boss a week for 4 weeks, like they did with sunwell.

and i think the new badges are great, it allows people to get some pre-ulduar raiding gear, and giving them the chance to get into the end game raids.

Raiding should not be for the elitists only but everyone who pays there subs at the end of the month should be entitled to play the game. People going on about oh now nubs are going to get gear, that is just such a retarded mind set, they are entitled and allowed to play as well, they leveled the char to 80, they did all the lame heroics to get the badges they should be allowed to view the end game content as well. In the end they will wipe a lot if they dont know what they are doing etc..and will eventually get bored.

I did the 5 normal and 5 heroic, got 3 epics, nice addition to my healing gear, and a new tanking pants, slightly less than my current but increase in rating and dodge makes it better, due to the socket and bonus stat. Have not yet had a chance to look at the BG system. The instance is a faceroll, but fun none the less.

I am still finding bugs with the shadowing system, so half way in the marker seems to achieve best visuals, when its full its flickers sometimes.

i found the patch to be a lot more stable than previous versions, latency was a tad bit higher but this was to be expected with 10,000 people sitting at the summoning stone.
wait woot? All that from my 1 boss post?

Ok wait a second.

Does this mean I can now do heroics as DPS and get Badge gear for tanking (Ulduar rdy?). I'm having a massive problem getting Pug groups on my Pala for Heroics. They seem to think that 22k HP with Defence cap is too low since they are all spoilt with the 32k HP geared guys with all the nice gear.

I want to tank with my Pala but will have to get EPIC Tanking gear first if I want to stand any chance of getting a PUG going. If this is true, I might just play my Pala for a bit as Retri, get badges and then buy all the gear required via the badges :)

you can get some nice conquest gear from the emblems, like you could with the emblems, some other items

and 22k hp is rather for a tank even in herioic, even if you are def capped:P

When WoTLK launched our tanks had green quest gear and not even defense capped. But we got through all of the instances gearing up :)

But since Blessing of Sanctuary now also giving +10% HP that will put me on 24200

He's on Bronze Dragonblight. That is where my Druid is. You playing on there with your Pala or on your other server?

I'm sitting on 52k HP on my druid raid buffed. One hit the Northrend Beasts in both 10 and 25 man. I've cleared Ulduar normally as well as FL, XT, Hodir and Thorim hard-modes in 25 man and Glory in 10 man. I tell you this to put last nights fight into perspective.

I really enjoyed the Beasts fight, sure I like a challenge but at the end of the day, if a fight it fun, then it's succeeded for me. The worms were interesting to tank. People always beg for a challenge, but the funny thing is, most of those people haven't done most of the hard-modes in Ulduar. This new instance is a fun distraction until Icecrown, and even if it is easy, I enjoyed it.

As for the patch in general, awful lag. The new BG is unplayable. I love my new bear/cat form, I got a trinket upgrade from NORMAL 5 man (when I'm upgrading an Ulduar 25 trink with a 5 man normal trink then something seems wrong). The 5 man is fun and on heroic I found it more challenging to tank than 25 man Beasts.

Epic gems are nice, fully epic gemmed now which I missed a bit since TBC and as I'm a JC didn't have to pay ridiculous fees to have them cut.

Overall, I think its a good patch and people getting good gear easily doesn't really phase me at all. What effect does their gear have on my gaming experience?

Totally agree with you on your comments, i am going to level my druid its currently 78, my guild is willing to boost me quickly to get to MT on it. Thou i think with this patch paladins have a chance as a MT spec, but the tops are still the bears and warriors, DK's are just lame. so i dont even rate them at all.

New patch is fun as new content is always fun.

I don't raid hardcore anymore (dragging a guild through SSC/Eye/BT/MH was enough for me) so I appreciate getting the 2xTier 8.5 items for the set bonus to use in arenas quicker than I would have done before.

get the t8.5 and then just get the ulduar crafted items, they just as good:)

We did Ulduar hc and it was very easy so maybe with the new badges and things they must have made it allot harder again @ Semaphore

lol im sure it was very easy, so please link your achievement for yogg+0 ??
