Hi all just to let you know the new patch sucks big time.

1. I got a GM ticket always open lol, not that I opened one
2. Lagging like a whore
3. Seems mage CD's are stuffed
4. lvl 30 mounts hmmmm - wheres my alts lvl 65 flying mount?
5. Ran ramps with alt, and mobs evaded and then pulled others a mielie field away

LOL! 7 days till I get experience mielies again! For now I am stuck with corn :D
 
I don't recall there being mention of flying mounts at 65?
Or is somebody being faecetious?

And you know that Wednesdays are always laggy, especially when a patch as been applied, so that's pretty much par for the course. The evading mobs &cooldown issues don't sound too encouraging though

Lol, Lightbringer becomes Lagbringer every Wednesday, and is usually unplayable for a week :(
 
Just to point out 1 or two things:

- The GM ticket always open has been showed to be a mixtake by Titan Panel, a mod, they are currently working on fixing it.
- I don't think the lag is specifically Blizzards fault, you have 10 million people trying to download a patch so a lot of bandwidth is being used. That will settle down
- Level 30 Mounts are there to help new players level, hi end alts don't necesarily need a mount. You have a main.

Nope, It's to try and lure the lvl 29 twinks out of the BG's ;)
 
But to think of it your normal flying mount should be at lvl 65 at least. Wotlk you will be getting the first new mounts at lvl 75 in northend.
 
As I understand it rumour has it you will also not be able to use your current flying mount until then either. Blizzard doesn't want people just jumping to the next zone just for the hell of it

Meh, I'm quite happy with that. If you compare the Azerothian content versus the Outlands content you can see big improvements and I think we can expect the same for Wrath.
I'm happy to remove the temptation to skip some of it.

Everyone needs to remember, your guild will only start raiding as quickly as the slowest leveler.
 
oh hectic patch day today. how big is it for interests sake?

Must remember to download it over lunch so I don't have to wait tonight.
 
Not really into the WoW scene....but why don't they use torrent technology to distribute the patch? At least 1/2 the WoW players can probably handle torrents, so if they release and official torrent then that would reduce the strain on the server by a huge amount.

They do

thats how their backgrounddownloader.exe app works

it uses both p2p and http, you can select either or both (the both defaults to the blizzard seeder of the p2p side)

Alternatively, you can direct dl the patch off www.wowwiki.com/patch_mirrors
 
got mine yesterday, Haris Pilton is cooked in the head with her prices. Went and got my pet though. As I say patch sux. Remember to update titan and questhelper while you at it. or else FAIL.
 
TBH, Blizzard have so much money they can prob afford a couple of download servers similar to the ones used in Age of Conan. Damn those servers are fast! 1.2 GB patch in 15 mins (downloaded while I was on vacation in Germany 3 weeks ago).
