Received my order from Wootware yesterday, so could finally put together my new system. Their prices were the best value I could find from a single supplier, for the most part. Had already bought the OS, soundcard and mousepad from Esquire.

Felt like a bit of a dolt when I phoned them to complain that the monitor wouldn't power up, but it decided to while I was talking to them on the phone.

Was the first time I built a PC from scratch, previously had only replace the odd component like RAM or PSU, never CPU/heatsink. So my main concern was installing the CPU/heatsink, applying tim etc., and read up as much as I could about this, as well as talked to guys who had done this before, or did it for a living. Will have to open it up again for cable management purpose (not happy with that currently), as well as the MB faceplate (sp.?), that I took off when the system would boot initially, just powerup. Dunno if that was the cause, but it booted after I replaced the mobo and everything (the faceplate had actually fallen out when I removed the mobo to troubleshoot and only realised it wasn't in once the mobo & everything was back in the case).

Will add system specs here, but there as per Ratwiz's quote in the "request" thread, plus the CM HAF Nvidida Edition case, Razer Tron Keyboard & mouse (running on the Vespula mousepad). 1000%+ better than my old P4 system, according to game-debate.com

Will be dual-booting it with Ubuntu, once the Ultimate Edition covering 11.10 is released.
