Any suggestions before I order the parts?

HDD: Corsair CMFSSD-64D1 , 64Gb Extreme series , 2.5" SATA2 SSD
PSU: Corsair HX750W Modular
Chassis: CM690ii Advanced with Windowed side panel
CPU: Intel i7 930
MB: ASUS P6X58D Premium
GPU: Sapphire HD5870 Vapor-X
MEM: Corsair Dominator 3 x 2Gb ddr3-1600

Thanks

Everything looks 100%. Personally I dont like the looks of the case, but it is a very good case in terms of cooling and capacity. I do suggest you give the PC to me though ;) :D

I would shoot for a 128gb ssd, 64 gb will fill up far to fast with new games. Windows will use like 12-16gb then you only have space left for 2 maybe 3 games.

Thanks I'll go 128gb SSD, is Supertalent/Kingston reliable or stick with Corsair?

Well do they have the indilinx controller like the OCZ vertex? It's all about the controller with SSD's. What can I say, read Anandtech, he has the best info on SSD's.

Your current hardware parts configuration is good. As per my suggestion you can upgrade hard disk space and if possible then you can upgrade ram capacity with 4GB.

Sorry to sound direct but WTF is he going to do with an extra 4GB of ram? It's tripple chanel so needs to be in multiples of 3 3/6/9/12 etc...

Also, consider 2x 64GB Corsair extreme series SSD's in RAID0. You want speed then that's the way to get it.

I would also consider taking the R2E instead of the P6X58D and if you want you can get a cheaper 5870 as the Sapphire is amongst the priciest. They're all reference products at the moment.

No. Since when is Vapor-X a reference design? There are plenty of non reference designs out for just about every card in the 5000 series, eg the special edition XFX 5970, the 2GB 5870 etc etc

Wow, so you're comparing the 5970 custom designed only 1000 being made to the Vapor X which might have a custom bios and cooler. I'm referring to the PCB/Ram etc of standard devices.

There is no point paying R1000 more for what is in essense the same thing.

You said they are all reference products. I pointed out one non reference 5870 (the 2gb version), there are several others out there. Hence you are wrong. And since you did not specify whether you were referring to the cooler or PCB, saying a vapor-x version is a reference design is also wrong. Whether its value for money is another matter but running 25 degrees cooler is quite an accomplishment.

Second urguable post I've read from you, keveenjames, today. Making it 2 out of 4. In some threads you'll be able to contribute. In those cases, please do. But let it be in an area where you actually know something. In this thread others know much more and better than myself, so I read and learn. Maybe you should consider doing the same.

Lol, and maybe a control of the English language that is at the very least understandable.
